What we bring

Everything from start to finish, in house.

Nine Sixteen is a complete vertical production partner. One team covers development, deal structures, crew, gear, and delivery — so platforms and producers deal with one company, not ten vendors.

Direct Productions

Full-service production of your title on a defined budget. We plan it, crew it, shoot it, and deliver it — on schedule and on budget.

Co-Productions & Profit Shares

Flexible deal structures for apps, platforms, and production companies — from straight co-productions to profit-share partnerships.

Original Scripts

An experienced writer on our core team means a slate of original vertical scripts, ready to option or purchase outright.

Gear Rental House

The gear a vertical production runs on — cameras, support, lighting, and monitoring — is already in house, with local access to anything a larger build needs.

Full Crew Network

A trusted rolodex of HODs and crew for every department — production staff, camera teams, locations, accounting, and bookkeeping.

Post & Delivery

Editorial, VFX, DIT, and post supervision handled by our own team, with delivery specs matched to your platform.

Why Nine Sixteen

Real & raw. Budget-driven.

Our team comes from commercial campaigns, documentaries, award-winning independent films, and MOW productions for networks like Hallmark and Lifetime — with vertical credits on apps like ReelShort.

That background taught us to deliver high-quality productions inside defined budgets, and to design workflows that stay on schedule while the content still performs.

Vancouver Island is our advantage: oceans, beaches, lakes, mountains, forests, and high-end homes — with fewer restrictions and lower costs than the big production cities.

Brands

Put your brand on the vertical screen.

We're actively looking to collaborate with brands on films and vertical productions — original branded series, integrations inside our slate, and content built around the audiences you want to reach.

Canadian Vertical Film Festival

We founded CVFF.

Canada's premiere celebration of 9:16 vertical storytelling. The first edition took over Victoria International Marina on July 25, 2026 — a custom-built vertical screen, films submitted from around the world, industry panels, and a full festival day built for the way films are watched now.
