The Canadian Vertical Film Festival is dedicated entirely to vertical filmmaking. The first edition took over Victoria International Marina on July 25, 2026, with a custom-built vertical screen, films submitted from around the world, industry panels, DJs, a podcast lounge, and a full festival day built for the way films are watched now.
CVFF was presented with IATSE 891, Blink49 Studios, and Actsafe.
It reflects what we believe: vertical is a growing global medium, and it deserves a real stage. Running the festival keeps Nine Sixteen at the centre of the vertical community, and close to the filmmakers shaping it.
